Bio

Esther Simon, MSW is a mother of seven and a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). Esther obtained a Master’s Degree from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City.  Shortly after the birth of her seventh child, she started her own business helping people organize their lives. She has become known as “The Traditional Home Organizer,” specializing in Time Management and Home Organizing and helps her clients organize every aspect of their home, including de-cluttering their spaces and setting up file systems. While raising her children, Esther volunteered at her private Jewish day school in Culver City, and also served as PTA president.
For the past 23 years Esther has been teaching parenting classes addressing developmental tools and skills to empower children and encourage them to become full members of the household. Esther believes parents should be role models for their children and give them responsibilities like cooking, shopping and running errands. “My specialty is the home,” says the former social worker, “and dealing with children’s clutter.  When you run a home office and a family, time management is critical.  I tell my clients that the more organized they are, the more time they will have for themselves, and the less stress they will experience.”
Being an active member in her synagogue at "The Shul on the Beach," the Pacific Jewish Center in Venice, Esther participates in the home-hospitality program and teaches cooking and organizing classes to members.  Her own glatt-kosher kitchen is testimony to her talents and organizing skills in the kitchen.  Esther has developed a program for "quick-and-easy meals" and outlines for a balanced meal plan.  Her most popular time of the year is Passover, when she teaches "Preparing a Panic-Free Passover" classes within the Los Angeles Jewish Community.
Esther has since married off four daughters and has six grandchildren. She lives in Santa Monica with her family. Esther can be reached at: Tradhomorg@aol.com or www.TheTraditionalHomeOrganizer.com.
